At 20:13 on December 17, 2017, the non-nuclear steam impacting test of the Sanmen No. 2 Unit of the AP1000-based Project supplied by HE succeeded. During the test, the leading indicators of the turbine generator unit rotor such as vibration, displacement and bearing temperature met the acceptance criteria. The unit manufacturing quality and the installation quality were fine. 

In the non-nuclear impacting process of the Sanmen No. 2 turbine generator unit, 17 professionals of turbines and motors sent by HE worked at the site, cooperated with the people of the owner. In the test preparation phase, they made arrangements for simulation drilling, desktop maneuvers, etc. They clearly divided the work and defined everyone’s responsibility. In addition, they formulated a risk prevention plan to ensure that the impacting test would succeed in the first attempt. 

This unit is the third AP1000 turbine generator unit of HE that have completed the non-nuclear impacting test, following Sanmen No. 1 Unit and Haiyang No. 1 Unit, which indicates that HE has got mature technology and mass production capacity in AP1000 conventional island equipment manufacture.
